How Should the Baltimore Regional Transportation Board Spend $3B in Transportation Projects?

The BRTB is seeking your comments on its 2018-2021 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) by this Friday, June 23, 2017.

The 2018-2021 TIP lists the regional transportation projects requesting federal funding in the next four years. It includes more than $3 billion in proposed federal, state and local money for highway, transit, bicycle and pedestrian projects. The funding goes toward maintaining, operating and expanding the transportation system.

By providing your input, you can help ensure that pedestrian, bicycle and Safe Routes to School projects receive greater prominence and funding in the region’s transportation planning. Let BRTB members know that their support of these projects demonstrates a commitment to the health and safety of the current and next generation; commitments of safety to our community members who do not have other transportation options; and to our children who should be able to safely enjoy the trip to school by walking or bicycling.
