Walk to School Day 2017

International Walk to School Day was held on October 4th, and once again, the students, parents, teachers, and communities in our region responded by participating in impressive numbers. According to the Walk & Bike to School Day website, there were over 460 Walk to School Day events in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia!

Safe Routes to School Regional Network Meeting

On Tuesday, February 28, 2017 30+ advocates and practitioners joined us at the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments to talk about all things Safe Routes to School in the Greater Washington, DC region!

The exciting lineup of speakers covered a wide range of issues from Washington D.C.’s universal bicycle education program, to regional funding opportunities, equity and public health initiatives, and much more!

How Should the Baltimore Regional Transportation Board Spend $3B in Transportation Projects?

The BRTB is seeking your comments on its 2018-2021 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) by this Friday, June 23, 2017.

The 2018-2021 TIP lists the regional transportation projects requesting federal funding in the next four years. It includes more than $3 billion in proposed federal, state and local money for highway, transit, bicycle and pedestrian projects. The funding goes toward maintaining, operating and expanding the transportation system.
