I am so happy to be in my new position - working to strengthen policies and funding streams to help everyone enjoy a healthier and happier life in the beautiful environment of the San Francisco Bay Area.   

When I was about eight years old I decided to start a lemonade stand. My stand, which was rudimentary in design, included the front steps of my house, a pitcher of watered down lemonade and no cups.

We started growing seeds for our garden over the weekend and as I sat down to write my blog this week I was struck by how working to grow awareness and engagement for Safe Routes to School is similar to the growth of our seedlings.
