Aileen Ayala

Management Analyst Supervisor, Strategy & Evaluation
Denver Public Library

Aileen Ayala joined the Denver Public Library in 2022 and has worked at the intersection of strategic operations and data analytics. Her work has focused on answering key questions, such as: What does equitable distribution of services look like? What tools can we co-create to show distribution of services? How can we teach staff to use these tools in their daily work? How can we measure if the tool is working or identify when to change course?

Aileen has developed a comprehensive skill set across the analytics spectrum, including C++, RStudio, Power BI, and the ArcGIS suite of tools. She believes this broad experience enables her to effectively align tool capabilities with end-user needs. She is passionate about transforming data into actionable insights and strategic direction, and finds joy in helping others recognize the connections between their data and their goals. This passion earned her recognition as one of the Library Journal’s Movers and Shakers 2025.

In her free time, Aileen likes to explore new trails with her puggle, Artie. She also enjoys speed puzzling, trying new crafts, and adding movies to an ever-expanding watchlist.
