On Thursday, October 14th at 3:00 PM Eastern/12:00 PM Pacific Safe Routes Partnership is hosting a free one-hour webinar:

What’s the Status of Federal Funding for Safe Routes to School, Walking, and Bicycling?

October 14, 2021 - 3:00 PM Eastern/12:00 PM Pacific

Federal surface transportation funding expires on September 30, 2021. What happens next? The Senate and House have each passed versions of surface transportation reauthorization, but as of mid-September, there is not yet a bill headed to President Biden’s desk. We are optimistic that Congress will pass surface transportation reauthorization, but there are other potential outcomes, including a short-term extension or a lapse in funding. Join us on October 14, 2021 to learn what happened and what it means for federal funding for Safe Routes to School, walking, and bicycling. If surface transportation spending is reauthorized, you can expect to hear what changes will take effect and how to take advantage of new funding opportunities. Content will vary based upon the outcome; we will send an updated email with more information once we know what happens!
