What is it?
The Safe Routes to School Network is comprised of parents, teachers, school district administrators, health representatives, city planners and engineers, and representatives from county, regional planning, and state agencies. The network is committed to helping more children safely walk and bike to and from school, to improve the health and well-being of students, and to create more livable and sustainable communities in Oregon.
Who’s involved?
The Safe Routes to School Network’s Leadership Committee and Advisory Committeeconsist of partners from the Safe Routes Partnership, Bicycle Transportation Alliance, Community Cycling Center, Alta Planning+Design, Kaiser Permanente, Oregon State Department of Transportation, Oregon Health Authority, and SRTS Coordinators in cities and counties across Oregon.
How do I sign up?
Anyone interested in learning more about Safe Routes to School, getting a program going, or getting support for your program should be on this list. Receive informative emails about twice a month, find out about trainings and webinars, and learn from your peers around the state.
We believe that every kid deserves to walk and bike to school (and other places) safely! The Oregon Safe Routes to School Network is all of us working together to make walking and biking to school safe, convenient and fun!
