Like a number of my colleagues, I have the privilege of writing my first post as I prepare to travel on work-related business.
In Atlanta, I’m sitting in a conference room with roughly 30 advocates from the public health sector who are here to talk about the work they are doing throughout the country in preventative health.
With Congress in recess this week, we have a short breather. So I’m taking this opportunity to bring you up to speed on where things stand on the transportation bill. The past three weeks have been action-packed—and there’s more to come next week and beyond.

It is hard to believe it has been that long, and that the organization has grown from three staff in 2007 to 22 staff today – what a ride!
