The Inland Empire Chapter of the American Planning Association recognized the Riverside County Active Transportation Network (Riverside Co ATN) with the Healthy Communities Award during their June ceremony. Safe Routes Partnership's SoCal staffer, Demi Espinoza, who is also the ATN’s co chair, accepted the award for the group alongside Nathan Mustafa from the City of Riverside. They thanked fellow co-chair, Miguel Vasquez and Network core team members Marsie Rosenberg-Guiterrez and Daisy Ramirez for the group’s achievements throughout the year. Demi highlight the many activities the ATN has hosted this year to bring attention to model active transportation projects and well as how the network serves as an information hub for grant technical assistance. For more information on the Riverside Co ATN or to join an ATN near you, email demi@saferoutespartnership.org.
